Many cataract patients experience cloudy vision months, or even years after the cataract procedure. This condition, posterior capsular opacification, sometimes called an “after-cataract” occurs when the posterior capsule which holds the lens in place becomes cloudy. A laser treatment called a YAG capsulotomy, is performed to treat the posterior capsule, allowing light to more effectively reach the retina. The procedure is quick and painless with immediate results.
